I don't know the answer to you problem but would like to ask if it's the 18C software that's slow or is it still as slow after the update. |

Generally better since the update, but Apple Carplay can be a bit slow launching after plugging in phone. |

Would my problem re Carplay be because of dodgy simcard? I presume it won't work without the simcard behaving itself? All LR cars from 1984

Yes it works on the iphone without plugging in. I've just removed the simcard and reinserted it and it now works! Is that just coincidence? All LR cars from 1984

Chalky, my apple carplay can be a little temperamental as well. Sometimes it takes quite a while to flash up. Mine is always USB connected. |

This may not help Chalky, but try pressing the home screen button when the reversing camera is active - i had all my home screen shortcuts stacked on top of each other with the screen not responding but got it back by doing this and deleted the rogue buttons, which fixed the problem. Alternatively, remember it is only a computer, so power down, wait and reboot. You never know! |

Hopefully you'll get the 18D update in January and all these things will be sorted out. there were a lot of problems with the F-Pace software which the 18C update sorted out - seems strange the same update is causing you problems. The nw update does seem to be pointed at smartphone inter-operability more than anything else. |
