2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Stornoway Grey

4.2 sc
I have a lube oil system also have some petrol addition after 2900rpm to avert vsr.
Runs great.
The bmw 4.4 is more forgiving on lpg apparently.
The 5.0 is direct injection so will be a bit harder to get done but I understand it is possible.

My 07 (so jaguar engined) runs on LPG since she had 6K miles on the clock, now 100K, still going great, approx 18mpg. Got valve lubrication installed 40K ago. Runs fine, but I feel a difference between cheap LPG and normal Total or other premium marks, they are just running smoother. Will always avoid supermarket LPG/petrol if I can.

I have been running LPG for the last 16 years on a '72 Classic RR usually towing a 2 tonne trailer.
Better miles per £ than my 2012 Westminster 4.4 TDV8 under similar conditions.

But, needless to say, the Westie is far more comfortable on motorways and the main reason for purchase.

Overall? LPG is brilliant when it is readily available but I do have to plan re-fueling carefully when making long journeys.

It’s a no brainer really.
As long as the instal is good then mpg will not be too much different and it is under half the price of petrol local to me.
Works out the equivalent of nearly 35mpg £ per mile compared with petrol with what I am
Running.
