I’m pedal first too! Does anyone find that you really have to press the pedal quite hard to register with the car that it’s being pressed? Maybe I’m a whimp but have always been surprised at the pressure requires! |

L322 has a whole different starting system. The button itself mirrors turning a key, hence why you need to hold it rather than a simple press like the more modern vehicles. |

Indeed. The L322 from 10MY is actually a very old electrical architecture dressed up so to speak. |

Agree with IanV8 even on earlier models with the key you could turn the key then let it go and the engine would crank until it started, I have a Merc that does the same. 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

No delays on the petrol SC - and only need a short press as it will fire when ready. I've got glow plugs on my tractor tho so know what you guys are going through Mike - MPx

Press the floor mounted starter button on an old mini too hard and it would just go through the floor...... |
