Oh and Bluewater9118 check your rubber inlet hoses. These feed into the 'donut' top of the engine intake. The hoses can crack and is often the cause of sudden restricted performance. They can crack underneath the clamps so you are best to remove and check. If they are fine, then this can be eliminated.

The valve can be seen if you look down directly behind the radiator, middle right side when looking towards the engine. The different pivot for the vacuum chamber of the later version is quite easily identified. |

By removing the plastic under engine tray it is much easier to access the valve to squirt a bit of penetrating oil and or, as I do before the winter months , apply a squirt of lithium grease to prevent corrosion by winter road salt.
