Fault lights on dash

Hi Al,
So driving along merrily , then get the dreaded bong and Adaptive front light icon lights up / then get message HDC fault System not available / then Suspension lowering message / then ABS icon / Emergency brake assist icon / then DSC icon comes on , also just checked and the AFS lights have stopped working ?

Not the Xmas lights I want to see,

Any ideas what might have caused all this ?

Thanks

J

Low Battery most easily found fault - or a fault in any one of the sensors whose lights show (think yours is a MOST system, so any fault along the line triggers the other "errors" which are not really there.)

Mine was a bit of dirt on one of the prongs of the ABS module (in engine compartment) which triggered all the lights. A quick removal adn clean sorted everything.

Main thing is...

DONT PANIC MR MAINWARING!! Mr. Green Prob Battery low.

Thanks, will have a look tomorrow in the daylight, though it’s a relatively new battery 👍🏻

I'd agree, most likely the battery, but you can never tell with these cars. Could be ECU stuff too.

A fault code will help.

Definately electrical gremlins.
Systematically check connections and clean them up.
Check battery voltages at rest and engine running.
Wont be expensive but can ne tedious to find.

Gents,

Checked battery :

At rest 12.08,

Idle 12.24

Does that sound about right?,

Battery terminals are tight,

Now to look at the other connections 😩

Thanks again for your replies👍🏻
