IID tool - LED reserve light upgrade

Afternoon all,

Changed the reverse lights over to the nice bright ones that Bushy has supplied, and all is well (and bright) again. I'm aware that I can turn off that annoying flash check on start up using my IID, but within the lighting ECU there are a million options, and I don't want to go faffing about. Does anybody know which specific option deactivates the light check, and also are there any possible issues with switching it off?

Cheers Thumbs Up

To quote Stan himself in reply to my question a while back...

" its in the LCM ...cold is on start up and hot whilst engine running..."

Turned mine off... no ill effects.. and no flashing either Very Happy

No, no error, the flashing is just annoying on each start up. CM - Reverse Lights in the LCU does seem to have solved it though, so thank you both

It is interesting, I've done nothing with mine but don't seem to experience the issue! Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Could well be. I'd read about the 'issue' before buying the lights, so wasn't too perturbed if nothing could be done. To be honest you're probably unlikely to notice it unless you're looking for it, it does a few quick flashes as you turn the key, so unless it's particularly dark and you're looking in the mirror I'm not sure you'd notice. Thanks again though, one of those tiny annoyances fixed, onto the next!
