Yes all fittings were there in the box. They’re brand spanking new in the original packaging. I’m chuffed. The existing gills are quite dark compared to the door/wing but never looked out of place. My body guy is confident he’ll get a closer match and will retain the black grills too. Hope to get them back before the weekend. |

So I picked up my grills this morning and I’m very pleased with the colour match considering they were painted without the car to refer to. Better than the originals tbh.

It's a slippery slope once you get started with modifications |

I know only too well. My D3 was hit up with everything but the RAI! A fortune was spent and I kept it 8 years because it was just so good at everything. My 4 was just a bit posher with a bit more power but still had an Exploration rack RRS wheels chip and the silly stainless side bars. As with everything LR it costs about 2-3 times what it should and doesn’t seem to last much longer. The grill is also genuine so I’m pleased it came at a good price (compared to fake ones, let alone genuine LR). I look forward to fitting it within seconds of it arriving. |

I've just realised the badge on the new grill is green whereas the current badges on the car are black.

I know but every time I tell the wife there's nothing to do, an expense pops up. Kerbed my NSR wheel in a multi storey last week and the wheel is going to cost almost £170 to refurb, ended up buying a new wheel with a part worn on it for £160 off the bay of E (Genuine not a Chinese genuine ) which is due today. Existing wheel has a brand new tyre on it so I have to pay to get that swapped over. Just goes on and on. The joys of owning a FF I suppose. |

Ok so now I have the new grill fitted with a black/silver badge to match the other badges on the car. I have also fitted a set of LR mud flaps to both front and rear. I hadn't realised I was as old and unfit as I am until I did this. Getting the rear wheels off and fitting the rear ones was just more physical effort than I'm used to but the fronts!!! I nearly wept with frustration. I didn't have to remove the front wheels as turning the steering allowed enough space. The hole drilling despite my breath being held wasn't that painful but lining up the inner wing, outer wing, wheel tub, captive nut and mud flap was more fiddly than anything I've ever done before. Took ten minutes to fit the two upper bolts and two hours to get the bottom bolt fitted. So glad it's done.
