flat battery

Car won't start after week away did the same after 2 weeks away in summer. Looking at batteries on Halfords web site it list HSB019 Yuassa whick is non AGM. Battery is currently LR genuine AGM! which is correct for 2011 4.4 TDV8 vogue or is either OK?
To confuse further some others list both but only AGM for start stop - mine isn't
Thanks in anticipation

It needs to be an AGM battery, even though 2011 4.4 tdv8’s aren’t stop/start.

As Mr Bean says, prices vary widely, but so do guarantee periods.
I paid £189 back in June, but my main thought was , it came with a 5 year warranty. And free next day delivery.

If you look just in front of the battery, you will see you need a special 5 point torq bit to remove the charging unit.
The RAC man may have one and loosen them for you , otherwise cheap from eBay.

Right finally got time and right weather to fit my new battery this morning. (Went for the Varta recomended by Baltic Blue).
Attached the gap tool to tell the car it has a new battery.
service/test, bcm body control, battery replacement and it did a procedure but didn't give the option to inform it what battery it had been replaced with.
Is this correct and it just detects what battery it is itself or am I in the wrong area on the gap tool?
Thanks
Paul.

Ah found it!
My battery is 95ah 850A (EN),
However the nearest I can find is "H8HD 90Ah 950 cold cranking ampere" which it is already set to so I guess I'll leave it set to that unless you can set a custom one up? There is one called 'undefined' but it doesn't appear to give you any options.
I did spot DRL's in the settings whilst in there so have got them switched on now!
Must admit I love the GAP tool has been useful on a number of occasions already.

Paul,
Does DRL just switch on front sidelights when ignition is on/engine running ?
If Yes, please share menu location.

It does just turn front side lights on there is also a Scandinavian setting which I think puts the headlights on. I’ll check the exact menu location when I get home.

Car config, bcm body control, DRL standard. Change to active.
There is Scandinavian and also Canadian so don’t know what the difference is!

Mike.
Sorry to jump in on this thread, but why would you need a stop/start battery on a 4.4 which is not a stop/start model, i asked because i may need a battery for my Westie which has not been started for 2 mths.
