Just because it passed MOT does not mean it is legal. To be legal both light unit and LED have to be 'E' marked. Original led factory lights will be, fitting LEDs to other lighted will not. |

May not be enforced but does not stop it being the law.

He won't need to remove it to see.. if it is an LED bulb it WILL NOT be 'E' marked.. simple! Only complete light units (i.e. lense, reflector and and light source) will be 'E' marked I do not take pleasure in saying this.. I like the LEDs I USED to have in my P38 - far better than the bulbs but after noticing this I did some research and there does not seem to be any other answer. Oh and for those that thought that in old vehicles (pre 'E' marking) they were OK I found something the other day that explained why that wasn't the case either! |

Where did you get the tracking done Henda? At that price it's worth just having it checked ![]() -------------------- Kielder 4x4 Safari |

This debate on led lights is a bit confusing but at work all the units and trailers run on led lights and only the headlights use normal lights hid etc

As an aside, there is absolutely 0% chance of an Insurer not paying your claim as a result of having LED's in, unless they materially impacted the incident, for example the third party were so dazzled by your modded lights that they drove into you. Outside of that daft scenario, they just wouldn't do it.
