IID Tool Code Help - Airbag SRS Light

Hi

I have a GAP IID tool - absolutely brilliant bit of kit. Even just for the graphs it can do in real time stuff.

I have a 2007 Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 and the Airbag SRS light comes on with Ignition, goes out for a few seconds then comes on again and stays on.

I have read the code and it comes back with.

B1198-13 (AA) Drivers side inflatable tubular structure - General electrical failure - circuit open.

Has anyone got any ideas based on the code above?

Many thanks

John

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue

I had similar and spent a fortune changing bits and testing stuff it turned out to be the steering column spider which sits on the steering column and completes the circuit
It doesn't come up as a specific code mine was intermittent so I changed passenger side airbag for a new one from memory about a grand and two weeks later it was back
Do you hear every now and then a sort of rubbing going from lock to lock I would try that first

Thanks for the response.
I suspected the Clockspring initially..

However, after reading the Workshop Manual I found the full suite of codes in the SRS sections. Thanks Forum Wiki

It seems to indicate a Driver side curtain airbag circuit short to ground, so that gives me something to go on!

It might be a while but I will report back..
