New to me L322 2012 AB - Questions questions

Hi Chaps
Ive never had so many things I cant suss out, complex car I guess.
Can anyone help with this lot
- Doors always double lock even though the car setting isnt set, I have to press the fob or dash button to open a back door from outside.
- Rear heating comes on at start up stopped by pressing the dash button bottom left - can it just not come on?
- Rear elect seats dont work, rear windows dont from rear door buttons but do from front buttons - have I isolated the buttons in the back?
- Bottom glove box drops down past the stopper - should the hole have a trim piece in it, its just a hole at the moment and mild pressure drops it down.
- Easy exit the steering wheel moves away but the seat doesnt go back ?
Cheers guys, loving it so far just need to iron out a few things

Welcome.

Rear heating always comes on each time you start up.

Rear window isolator switch is in the cluster on top of the drivers door. Big cross over a window pic on it.

You press unlock once on the fob and the drivers unlocks. Press it again and the rest of the car unlocks. Press the lock fob button once and all the doors lock but can be opened from inside and the interior alarm is off. Press lock twice quickly and the car will double lock. Can’t be opened from inside and the interior alarm is activated.

When you drive off, at a certain speed all the doors lock. You then have to use the button on the dash or pull a door handle twice to open the door. I think you may be able to turn this off with a diagnostic tool.

Ah thanks for that, rear seats are sorted, locking wheel key sited in boot with diesel reset key (both in glovebox), rear hearing is a button to press every time I start up I guess (why?)
I dont have the rear wheel thing to pull it up but I`ll look on ebay, the glovebox is annoying - top one needs nails to pull it open, bottom one drops down past the catch at slightest pressure. I think the hole has a trim piece missing will take a pic.
I have a nice new rubber tailgate button to fit but it requires the trim coming off to latch it in - will try hairdryer first

Had a Cayenne petrol and the RR is a lot smoother but obviously noisier apart from cruising.

There is a recent discussion about the rear ventilation button here

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic48794.html

I don’t have the straps to pull the spare wheel up. I didn’t know they stopped fitting them or I’d have took it out my TD6.

I have the rubber tailgate button cover but it’s a pain to fit. It’s not fitted at the min.

No idea about glovebox, as you say, pics will help.

Whip the tailgate trim off to refit the boot/switch cover.
Pretty much impossible unless you take the trim off, only 8 screws.
. Cheers, Greg

You can get the strap that pulls the tyre up from Dan at Duckworth (site sponsor) they are cheap to buy new, also get the two bolts for it at the sametime as are not part of the kit.
They will need to look up an earlier year L322 as they are not shown for your model year.

Your lower glovebox has a piece you need to pinch to release the glovebox to the floor to expose the fuse board... The part you pinch has either broken off or, quite commonly it remains in the pinched position... If this is what has happened to yours? Wedge a bit of foam/rubber in behind it and that should make the catch work once again... Thumbs Up
