Finally fitted my deployables!!

Just in time too as the existing fixed ones had crumbled to dust (literally!). Still have to fettle the mudflaps as they're not fitting very well and had to be put on in a hurry but very pleased! 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Well over the last week.

Replaced.

Rear air spring, shock, drop link, stay bar, top arm, all 3 lower bushes, top bush, most bolts, disc, pads and shoes. on both sides.

Had the rear diff refurbished and changed the fluid in Front, rear diffs and transfer box.

All done myself with a little guidance abuse from my mechanic, on his spare 2 post ramp.

I have to say compared to VW group cars Range Rovers are absolutely rubbish from a quality perspective.

I took the rear bumper off today to sort out the parking sensors, first issue all of the self tapping screws badly corroded, nigh on impossible to remove due to the corrosion. Finally got the bumper off the wiring is dreadfully thin and physically broken cables on the left hand outer were causing the problem, cables repaired but they were suffering corrosion of the copper cores (they were black), now ordered a new harness but temporary repair done.

All of the screws replaced with stainless screws, shouldn't be a problem in future.

For the sake of a few pence on an 80k car it beggars belief. My Touareg was galvanised body, not sure about the fasteners but they didn't rust like they do on old Fatty ourtside. BMW i3 Electric Car

Fitted some new wheels to my tdv8! Were an absolute steal off ebay with almost brand new pirelli tyres! Just need to adjust the ride height with the iidtool 2004 td6 l322 - gone
