Underside rear L405 - please check

I just took a look at my L405 and noticed a bunch of electrical cables exposed.

Anyone able to verify if there should be a cover over these please?

These ones?

Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

No cover on mine anyway. This is probably the (standard) "electrical towing preparation", mine has some of the sockets in use for the trailer electrics, I expect the ones not in use would be for the deployable towbar. Only Range Rovers since 1988

No visible cables, but do have deployable tow bar.

This indeed could be the reason.

However, not keen on open cable sockets exposed to the elements and on a vehicle subject to wading.

Leaves me somewhat disappointed Shocked

Depends on how exposed they are - they would be higher than the tow electric socket - and whilst that has a rain cover, I'm fairly sure it would fill up whilst wading......

WD40 or similar might now be an onboard option then?
