So at the end of each driving experience, I noticed they hose off the cars. They have two cleaning pens. Neatly gated to hide away the menial tasks. One grabbed my attention because it had a drive on ramp. So they don't just do the topsides, they clean underneath too. Nice. #jealous
So I went over and commented that was a very useful cleaning station. And we started chatting. He saw my car and asked about it and I said I'd just seen Range Rover 005 on the tour and he said I've got 006 just over there. It's my daily driver he said. He told me he was on the development team for both the original Range Rover and the 322. This very nice man was Rod Gill. If you didn't read the bit about Rod, scroll up and read about the Velar badge. So here it is, Range Rover pre-production No. 006: He's had it "many" years. Some time ago, he converted it to a 2.5 diesel. And you'll notice Rod is proud of his Velar contribution. Was very nice to meet you Rod, if you read this. .
