The parts individually are not big beer, about £20. I keep telling myself it WILL be worth it Whistle

I also got them to order the parts for the rear seats so that I can put the roller guard behind the front seats with the rears folded, i.e. to protect you from flying articles in an emergency stop.

As we're doing a European roadtrip in a few months time and likely to have the car loaded to the gunnels with luggage and wine, thought it would all be worth while you see. Discovery 4 HSE

Be interested to see pics when done on putting the net behind the front seats? - not sure how you mean but as i regularly carry heavy items it may be a useful ammendment to my own.

Easy this one. Fold your rear seats forward all the way till they click in. On the (now) uppoermost edge of the seat base there are 2 plastic finishers. Yours will either have slots in, or not. If they have slots in, you marry this up with the connectors on the base of the roller blind, then use the forward set of headlining clips in the same fashion.

Blimey, they don't make things easy do they?

Swung by the dealer to pick up these remaining parts, got home and tried to fit them. One of the parts is wrong (2 x lefts not a L&R), oh and they couldn't get one of the other bits in either so its on back order. Plus, the one that is and I fitted, it's pretty poorly put together.

When it's all in I'll take shots to show you what I mean but I have to say, after all the hassle of getting all the component bits together, I REALLY wish I had bought a pattern metal dog guard instead, 5 mins to fit max and SO much less hassle.

Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound. Big Cry Big Cry Discovery 4 HSE

Back to the dealer today to pick up the correct part. They got 2 of them in to make sure.

Both of them were the wrong part in the wrong box. Censored Twisted Evil

Now apparently Land Rover will have to do a full bin check and go through them all as apparently a complete batch will all be in the wrong boxes.

How many more more trips to the damned dealer do I need to do to get this feckin part fitted?

Who would have thought that you needed to buy 10 seperate parts just to fit the roller blind. No wonder they are losing money.

Oh, and the parts guy said he'd call me when the parts were in, considering he's not called me ONCE so far when he said he was going to, I'm not holding my breath. Discovery 4 HSE

Fitting it isn't the issue, its a piece of cake, getting the parts in a box with the correct part number seems to be impossible for Land Rover though.

I rang the dealer and asked if LR had done their bin-diving enquiry, turns out ALL of the right hand brackets are missing and the boxes are fulll of LEFT hand ones.

HOW HARD CAN IT BE???

So, still only got half the parts.

I am SO close to selling it off and just getting the mesh dog guard for £70. Discovery 4 HSE

Dunsfold Land Rover have them in stock at £5.36 each side if you are talking about part 13286A?

You'd have to get them to check the contents of the box, I presume the part number is marked LH/RH

Dunsfold Land RoverParts List

If it's a different part let me know and I'll see what i can turn up.

From looking at the above, your right hand may be Microcat's Left hand, I've just made the mistake - maybe the dealer has too?

Those part numbers are not the same ones on the boxes I've had sadly.

The parts guy seems pretty clueless overall and is still promising to call me as soon as he gets the part in (only the 6th time he's promised that and nver done so) Discovery 4 HSE

No, those on the pic are the Microcat numbers, it then gives ref to the part numbers somewhere else, so which bit is it you actually need? 13286A or 45026A

Dan,

Using a copy of the instruction manual you posted (I had yet to find one of those, where did you get it?) I have ciclred the outstanding parts and issues. The main part that is missing looks slightly different to the actual part I have had, perhaps it has been updated since?

I have numbered in RED the issues as follows: on the diagram

1. Still waiting for one of these seat finishers, its on back order apparently
2. Not sure what this part is, was not told by the dealer that I needed it but perhaps I do?
3. These 2 screws were also not mentioned but are shown in the instructions and there is a hole that is not filled in the main part (numbered 4).
4. This is the part I am waiting for but for the right hand side, so the fixings are on the other side to that shown here.
5. The 2 fixings that you get for the Part 4 above have a fixed washer on them that you cannot remove, however the rearward one circled you can't tighten down because the damned washer is too big and fouls on the part body next to it. How daft is that?

Overall its a bit of a cluster**** and not made any easier by uneducated parts people and poorly managed parts from LR themselves.
