Thank you John. It is an 07 Vogue SE. I will take a look today and see if I can find the one that runs at the bottom of the sump. I presume that I will have to look INTO the wing from the wheel , as it were, and take off the plastic shielding inside the wing to get to see whats there?

I had a very similar issue on my 2010 3.6. The pipe that ran under the radiator had rubbed on the earth strap and then leaked. Had it changed under LR approved warranty. Took a few hours as the pipe is threaded around various parts and onto the compressor.

The hole was reasonably obvious but only once they had put the UV die in the system and put the UV light on it. I don’t think I would have found it without the die in it because nothing coming out to hear it as it had lost all the gas! Once it was off you could see where it has scraped a hole in the pipe though. |

Just out of interest, was the hole in the flexible hose, or the metal part of the pipe ?

It was on the metal part of pipe at the bottom of the radiator (left hand side if looking at the car from the front). It was a few years ago but I am pretty sure it was obvious where the parts were likely to rub. |
