I did wonder about those. A friend bought a very similar set for his old X Type estate. They seem like a universal fitting, rather than car specific, but they certainly can’t be any worse than the OEM set and probably a lot better!

Thanks for the link.

Have a look at my edited post above - seriously they are fantastic and a perfect no damage fit. Stainless steel clamps covered in thick moulded rubber - no way will they cause any damage. The LR cross rails are in comparison are absolute Censored Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

To be fair, the OEM roof bars aren’t that good! Rolling Eyes Laughing

I am very pleased with mine - I went for Black with black trim and fitted them myself - 1hr job very easy to fit. They appear to be a very strong alloy and the paint finish is excellent - no issues at all - I would definitely buy them again 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

It’s good to know. I certainly don’t want to use the standard bars again and Thule stuff is a lot less expensive AND much higher quality!

My top box may have got a reprieve!

Which length of bars did you use?

Just been out to the workshop to check. The bars are 1.55m long manufactured from alloy. The clamp body’s are steel clad in plastic and the clamps themselves are stainless steel bands totally covered in thick rubber.

I reused my Wing Bars from my L322 so just had to buy the new clamps. Once set up and fitted the 1st time it’s a 5 minute job to remount them again or remove 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Have I understood this right......

Get new roof cross bar and feet from Thule model 775?

Or do I need to also get new roof rails to make this all work?

I have a Lwb 405, will this result in different parts?

Ps, the rails installed at factory!, I did have a look to put the cross bars on a couple of weeks after collecting the vehicle and did seem complex compared to Thule, with Allen keys etc and have not yet reconsidered, but the day will come!

All you need is the Thule 775 feet and the Thule Aero Bars. These mount straight onto the std L405 roof rails. If you buy off eBay these are the cheapest from P F Jones, the feet should come supplied with the locks. Dead simple to fit and hard to muck it up Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Resurrecting this thread as I'm trying to fit a roofbox to mine.

Rails fitted. Thule 775 footpack and Thule Wingbar Evos purchased. When I tried to fit the footpacks to the roofrails, the rubber coated stainless strap does not fit through the gap between rail and roof. It has a lug on the end that I don't want to force through.

Any reason why I can't just grind these off?
