So I’ve finally worked out what sensor is playing up. For weeks I got “articulation relay fault” which didn’t really tell me anything. Now, I’m getting “front left height sensor”

There is a procedure for testing the sensors in the workshop manual. Essentially put 5V across the sensor and measure the output. There should be a fairly linear change in output from about 4.5V down to 0.5V across the range -140mm to +180mm.

Relevant pins for the front left sensor are (if I'm reading the diagram right)

So only three pins in use then. I’ll have a look at it and see if there’s anything obvious |

I’ve found a break in one of the wires to the sensor. I’ve soldered it and the fault cleared. However, when I drove it, the suspension went skywards at the front again. However, no errors on the dash and IID can’t find any faults. It’s getting on my nerves now

The venting exhaust on the compressor can block up.. the car keeping rising can be a sign of this if It can’t vent |

What do the live values for the height sensors look like? And same goes for the gallery pressure. If it's not venting you may be able to see it in the live values. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate <gone>2009 FF Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue</gone> <gone>2015 BMW 520D SE (not my favourite car)</gone> <gone>2009 D3 HSE Galway Green</gone> |

Ive had some fun and games with it today. First of all I checked the valves in the “test valves” section and all four corner seems to rise and fall but the n/s/R air suspension wouldn’t inflate after a while. At first I thought it was that causing the issues so I jacked the car up to help it a little and I heard the compressor start running. I then got it to a sensible height and turned off the ignition. A few minutes later with the car off and locked, the front end had risen up to past off road height again!
