Be very careful of anyone saying they have re-mapped one of these yet as from my understanding the only way to do it is by takeing the ECU out and splitting it - then mapping it and not by the OBD method that was common on the TDV8/TDV6 and other derivatives.

Who is it that claims it can only be done by splitting down the ECU to get past the encryption chip ? |

Why do you ask that? Have you seen it/had it done via a different method as I would very much like to know who and how? "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |

Passing the several levels of security and flashing the car by OBD is not the main problem and can be done without to much trouble. However this is not publicly used yet bacause....
