My Range SC has the message INSPECTION 2 11......It was serviced at Guy Salmon 4000 miles ago a year today.

Should I book it in for a service?If so how much will it cost at main dealer(67000 miles)?

My old TD6 used to "count down" its services,my new one just messages INSPECTION.

Is this correct,shall I service as its only done 4k in a year?

2006 MY> only tell you when its due without counting down apart from the last 1k miles, think it was only visible on start up with ignition on, but engine off. Its showing now because the service is due annually or when the mileage dictates.

Yours is due now, but I would do it bi annually / every other year at only 4k miles a year.

BUT, If you do a lot of short journeys of 2 or 3 miles then the engine won't heat up and burn of condensation, and it will be running on choke, if this is the case service the vehicle annually as the oil will be diluted with water, petrol and other debris...
