Did mine a few days ago with the 88 degree stat, mine has a blanking plug where the sensor would go. No issues running without the sensor.

Much quieter, and the pipes around the rad are no longer rock hard. I needed my stat changing anyway so it would be a positve thing to do in my view.

Re rock hard hoses, what is the pressure rating on the coolant reservoir tank, 140 or 200kPa (look at the number underneath the cap)? Ron B. VK2OTC

I'd suggest changing to 140 kPa p/n PCD000070

Referring to MicroCat, it was changed to 140 quite early in L322 production.

See an earlier post of mine:

200kPa and 140kPa, not psi. A 200 psi cap would be about 1400kPa or 14 bar (using the approximation of 1 psi = 7kPa)

Use the 140kPa cap.

Mine had a 200 but was changed to a 140. If you look at Microcat, you'll see the 200 was for early models.

140 kPa = 20 psi
200 kPa = 29 psi

The 140 will stress your cooling system less.

The 200 will allow a higher temp before boiling occurs. Ron B. VK2OTC
