That looks a nice car and it's worth paying extra for a sorted vehicle. There's loads of high mileage, old tat around the dealer network for under 10k, I wouldn't touch with a barge pole. If you buy the tat, then watch the bills roll in and the dealer disappear, almost as fast.

I've currently got a D3 and had a D2, so know these vehicles have certain things that 'always' go wrong on certain models, just don't want to buy a lemon that turns into a money pit.. otherwise I will never hear the last of it. cheers

Loads of info on here about common problems on all variants of the FF. This 1 has had the supercharger coolant pump done. Not overly expensive but not if it goes, when it goes. Some evidence of suspension air bag replacement would be good at that mileage or budget for replacement soonish. You mentioned earlier that the 4.2 Jag engine is renowned as the most reliable. It is and little goes wrong as long as properly serviced. If that warranty is transferable then some extra peace of mind. Good luck whatever you end up doing. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged 2005 Merc SL350 2005 Disco HSE 2.7 oil burner |

Crispian, have you considered a folding dog ramp rather than selling your pride and joy?
