United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver

This feature was demonstrated at the Land Rover Experience Offroading day be selecting "Rock Crawl" mode. We drove through a section where one of the front wheels and one of the back wheels was always hanging in the air and the two remaining wheels coped perfectly while the hanging wheels remained still Thumbs Up

The locking diff is more useful at low speed where it can be locked depending on the terrain response setting, such as rock crawl.
Otherwise you need to provoke slip (hence my full throttle comment) to get the traction control working properly.

I have got stuck twice in my old TDV8. Both times turning off DSC (it was already off) and then applying full throttle told the car I was stuck and it used it's brain to work out where there was and wasn't grip, before pulling me out. In both situations if I had messed about with settings and tried to drive I'd still be stuck. You have to tell the car you are stuck and the wheels are slipping by upping the power, then it will send the power where it needs to so you get out.

Winch. It can sometimes help to overcome traction issues. Very Happy
