Start Button not responding

Hi folks..

Came out to do the school run.. started fine no prior warning.. parked up and picked up the wee won. Now the Start button would not respond at all. The button was previously cracked and was replaced 2 months ago and it's been running fine with no issues.

Is there something else I need to look at? Current:
- L560 Velar HSE R-Dynamic D180
- Peugeot 508 2011 - 2.2 HDi GT

Past:
- FFRR V 2010 - 3.6 TDV8
- Citroen C4 1.6i Petrol
- Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 DID
- Peugeot 607 2.2 HDi
- Nissan Primera 1.8 SVE
- Honda Civic 1.6 VTEC

Does the TFT screen show the image when you open a door?

Is it showing any messages like cannot find smart key? __

if you have all electrics working then it could be the starter motor...keep pressing the button hopefully it will fire up.. ... - .- -.

It not bringing up the other light one the cluster that you would normally get when the ignition is on the ON position. Looks like another gremlin unless someone experience the same issue and knows a solution.

I have read on various posts that folk have left the motor locked for few hours and been fine after that. Trouble is I am outside the school and csnt leave the car here..

Going to disconnect the battery and see if it helps Current:

was just going to say "think flat battery".

Does the car lock and unlock at the "normal" speed?

If you can disconnect battery and reconnect where you are, try that. __

$loody Gremlins.. wish I had my 10mm key !!

AA guy comes.. connects his battery boost.. nothing happens.. Then connects his jump leads to the van.. again nothing happens.

I says do you want to try doing a battery reset.. He goes aye that's a good idea. Does the battery reset. 10 mins later connects it back and puts the jump leads on. RR starts in a flash.. Wait for this... the funny thing is that the jump leads were not even connected to the van Laughing Very Happy

Bizarre how it was reacting. Especially when I had the Battery Low - Start the Engine error Current:

Glad you got it going Thumbs Up

Did the AA man say what caused the problem?

What is the 10mm key you refer to?

Thanks

the battery low error probably was a result of you constantly trying to start the FF..i reckon its the starter motor.. ... - .- -.

Kgeddes.. the 10mm key is a forever running joke which is you never find one when you need one. If I had one in the car.. I would have reset the battery myself and would have been on the go rather than waiting for AA.

The AA guys didn't have a clue and was ready to tow me until I said reset the battery.

Stan.. I hope it's not the starter motor Big Cry Current:

Could one of the battery terminal connection have been loose which was solved when he did the reset and tightened it back up? Current Fleet:-
