Td6/Bmw - Intercooler to Turbo pipe

hoping to take the turbo to intercooler pipe off today ready for the new ones - any tips for easy removal / access please - td6 bmw model

Thanks for the link, I would have just undone the jubilee clip before reading it. Not sure if that's my problem but I just want to discount any splits in the hoses. I might try getting an endoscope down there 1st. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Jersey 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

I replace all mine last year with silicone ones , at the intercooler end they are on a quick release clip which comes off nice and easy but I then found that once the jubilee clip was removed the pipe was bonded on to the inter cooler coupling so had to cut I all off with a stanly knife to be able to fit the coupling to the new pipe.
I would guess that the fitting come with a new pipe from LR

Intercooler end is a quick release spring clip that you pull down towards you from underneath
The turbo end comes off with the jubilee clip if you remove from the turbo but if you try and remove the pipe from either side of the metal joining thing that I don’t know what it does , the pipes are bonded to it and as above will need cutting off unless you buy the genuine part that comes with the metal joiner in place
What symptoms do you have ?

My symptoms are a loss of power under load followed by lumpy tickover. The tickover becomes ok after a few minutes. Have had the car on IPNA diagnostics I can find no real fault, the low-pressure fuel fluctuates a bit around 4bar, the high pressure is excellent. Boost pressure rises with revs, Injector figures all good. The engine starts instantly. No unusual noises. I am still driving the car daily, if driven carefully all seems ok. I think it is fuel starvation. I have already changed the fuel filter, plus have ordered both electric pumps, in tank and external. I can feel the external pump working, its not the original but no idea of age. Will be a couple of weeks until I get both pumps. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Loss of power i would expect some codes, not sure what INPA covers.
Can you check your turbo actuator is moving freely ?
You can see it if you move the two large cable bundles that run along the edge of the inlet manifold on the offside wing. The actuator should move when the car is started to the fully closed position, towards the inner wing.
You could carefully disconnect one of the vacuum pipes on the inner wing reservoir or coming from the actuator solenoid to the turbo actuator and take it for a drive. You will lose low end power but it will tell you if it is turbo related if it doesnt lose power at high load as in overboosting due to stuck actuator.

IPNA is the BMW Dealer diagnostics so for the engine it covers everything. The icarsoft I have does the same in a portable unit. The IPNA is on a nice big screen laptop of mine so user-friendly. Not much use for a non BMW car though. I will take a look at the actuator as soon as I get a chance. Car is behaving perfectly at the mo. 2007 TDV8 VSE

With the engine ticking over, whilst watching the actuator, I removed and replaced the vacuum hose several times and was pleased to see the actuator arm moving back and forth instantly so I will now discount Turbo and Boost issues. I am even more inclined now to believe that one of the electric fuel pumps is playing up. 2007 TDV8 VSE

That’s good then, if the map sensor or solenoid is playing up then that should show codes so as you say it sounds like fuel. Can you get live data readings for fuel pressure?
