I purchased an audio connectivity module (VPLME0004) on eBay, as new but it had been opened.
When I do an Ebay search I get back a lot of loop connectors such as this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fiber-optic-loo...2544689488 Would that do the job or am I barking up the wrong tree (as well as contacting the Ebay seller that sold me the module in the hope he still has the part)? Even better is this the sort of thing any bricks and mortar shop might stock so I can get the dashboard back together.... 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate <gone>2009 FF Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue</gone> <gone>2015 BMW 520D SE (not my favourite car)</gone> <gone>2009 D3 HSE Galway Green</gone> |

Thanks stan. Do you happen to have a link to any more details? I've never heard of doing that. It is just two pairs of fibre optic cables. One pair is plugged into a male adapter and the other a female to keep them nearly butted against one another. It's the female adapter that's missing... 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

That was what I was thinking but wanted someone who'd actually done something with MOST connectors to confirm. Sounds like it might just work. Thanks! 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

No worries, generally there is a little blue thing in the centre of the connector that you need to remove to get the optic leads out. |

Thanks for the advice. I managed to cludge something together using a small plastic offcut to create a channel to keep them aligned. Some double sided tape in there and wrapping it with a bit of electrical tape to keep it all together. It's working as a temporary measure until the connectors turn up at least. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate
