I've just done this and have had a battle and a half with the LEDs and the BCU seemingly having a mind of its own. It turned out (I think - fingers-crossed) that I'd disturbed one of the metal lamp-holders when I removed it and it's been making intermittent connection which throws things into turmoil and the BCU switches off all three lamps for an indeterminate amount of time (seems to be at least 30mins) before resetting.

Thanks all! I've ordered the kit from ebay. I have already replaced the festoon luggage space light with an LED from a number plate light upgrade.
