Yes, our cars all have a hissy fit of the BONGS at the moment. Manufacturers apparently have to fit these things because people now are far more stupid than they used to be so are incapable of recognising when it's cold. Drives:

Went to visit our friends in Scotland over the weekend - 850 miles return trip in the RR. The car never missed a beat, carried my golf clubs (and my mate's clubs too), took us all shopping, breezed through some grotty weather.......this must be one of the best cars available for long distance trips like this.
It now needs a really good clean!

Got it back from Rovertune! All fixed. Smile

Interestingly, the car failed its MoT in September 2016 on a leaking brake pipe and a nail in a tyre, and passed its repeat MoT and a further MoT in March 2017 from the garage I bought it from. When I bought the car, I replaced the same tyre with a nail in it, and now I've replaced the same leaking brake pipe that was mentioned as well. Potentially some interesting MoT work going on there. Passed not once, but twice! I mean, I can understand if one particular tyre is prone to picking up nails. But the same brake pipe wouldn't stop leaking and then start again...

Oh well. £1500 lighter but now able to go and play in the snow if we get any more. So it's almost worth it. Rolling with laughter

Went over the Gap Road through the Slieve Bearnach mountains in East Clare. I was the first to venture over since the snow fall. It was a proper challenge for the Fatty, the General Grabber AT3's and my mettle.
A few off camber tight downhill turns with open ditches either side meant a couple of sphinter clenching moments and SWMBO gasping in my ear, but we made unscathed. And all for a pint of milk and a loaf of bread. Very Happy
I wasnt allowed to go back the same though.

Had a new screen and wipers fitted.

Caught a pesky cats eye flicked up by a lorry.
Luckily it was the screen rather than the bodywork.

I have been taxiing friends and family here there and everywhere most of the day, but inspired by “stillrunning” stunning pictures, I have just washed B.B. ready for a big big polish tomorrow.
But bearing in mind mine is 7 years old not 7 days it won’t “super shine” as well as his. Big Cry

Hate to admit it but I spent 10 minutes yesterday changing the puddle lights in the bottom of the front doors for ones I got from Super Tweeks - now when I open the doors I get a nice 'Land Rover - Range Rover' logo on the ground! Did it solely for the grandchildrens' entertainment, obviously . . . . and Domestic Zero just shook her head and walked away when it got dark enough to show her last night! Visited Paris for a long boyz weekend to take in some Rugby, we couldn’t find any real rugby being played by England....but good fun had by all. The fattie was just a pleasure on the long open French motorways.

New windscreen required post the M20 gravel road. Big Cry Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Had all four wheels tracked after changing all wheel bearings and bushes.

And then come home and bought a new steering wheel for it off a well known auction site!
