I had this when we had all the snow, drivers door handle would pull open but door would not. Could open from the inside but not the outside. Assume the cable and lock had all frozen.

I was hoping it would just defrost as it has done before but I think something has stuck this time. |

mechanism may have jammed, try pushing the cill lock button down hard from inside - it freed mine... may need a pointy stick as it will be flush with top of door card |

Will it open from inside? Just to eliminate the cable to the outside handle?

Thanks, will try this in the morning. If I lock the door and pull the door handle inside, the cill button pops to unlock but the door does not open. |

I had this a few weeks back when the weather was really cold. The mechanism had jammed and the door would not latch shut. I took the door card off and freed up the mechanism where the exterior handle cable attaches.

the only way to totally solve this problem is to remove the mechanism and grease and lubricate with silicon spray...you can try spraying via the door lock holes but this will not work properly..
