This might be a stupid question - but why? Surely it's quick enough at 6.5 secs to 60? 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

I am thinking about a DTUK Pedal Box controller. It just sharpens up the throttle response and it very simple to fit, had one on a 535d and it was quite good.

Throttle controllers seem a bit pointless - the only thing they actually do is mean you have to move your foot a little bit less for the same amount of progress, and you lose precision because more of the pedal travel is just pegged at maximum. |

I think you need to try one and decide for yourself , but in my last experience they do really make the car feel much more responsive and seem to reduce the lag. On a 535d I had the pedal box was a well worth addition,

It is literally just a box increasing the rate of change of a voltage signal to the ECU (the accelerator is a potentiometer) - does not and cannot do anything but reduce the amount you need to flex your right foot. |

That took me ages to read, and had all to do with the SDV8 tune! I wonder where the OP is now? He dropped off... 2014 SDV8 L405 Autobiography. Luxor with ivory. 22's... |

I had my 2012 (L322) 4.4SDV8 remapped in Australia; It gained around 46kw and 150nm of torque. I've had it for 6 six years and its done 115000kms' Its been fantastic. I added twin 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust at the time so it sounds sensational under load, but quiet as when cruising. I had the 8 speed auto fluid changed last week as preventative maintenance (I tow a 3.5tonne off road caravan) and it was in good condition (fluid).
