Im the original poster, recently came back to the fold with a 5.0 S/C AB on a 65 plate and just had that tuned by Viezu using their V Switch hand held DIY kit, really happy with the extra 50 hp but still feel the throttle needs to be sharper, it has a flat spot when setting off then it kicks into life, will try sand mode and see how that feels?

Been using it in road mode with the traction control turned off, not sure if its real or not but feels like it lets go of the wheels somewhat with it off so makes the car feel a touch lighter on its feet.

Anyone know if the Sport Supercharged or SVR have the same throttle dead spot, suppose Dynamic mode would help in that case anyway?

I would worry that I might want to have that sort of torque Big Cry Big Cry would the gearbox be up to it though ? Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

Refer my previous post re my remapped 4.4SDV8 in my MY12 L322. Dyno map below.

On my L405 I haven't done this remap yet but added a Pedal Box which I am very impressed with for the much reduced cost. It absolutely improves response from stationary - kills off the flat spot on take off. I'm very happy with it.

We have mapped many SDV8's including mine... It certainly gets rid of the laggy feel and gives you instant pull away from roundabouts etc... Which in my opinion is far safer & the power delivery is more dependable than it was!

I simply pull away from a standstill sympathetically! Knowing i have enough torque to potentially damage driveshaft/CV joints in particular... That said, the 5.0 has more power and uses the same gearbox!

You’re saying u drive more cautiously because it could cause damage at full throttle?

Then why not leave it and she sure it won’t cause damage? As it comes if u put ur foot down it will shift. Compared to l322 is so much quicker more responsive.

NO, im saying i drive it mechanically sympathetically! There is a big difference!

Put any 2.5tonne car on full lock at a junction, left foot on the brake and build up the revs with the right foot then when a gap appears Floor it!!! Spin the wheels up until the TC cuts in.....

Thats how you damage CV joints with or without a map!
