IMHO it's diminishing returns - either they don't work very hard, or by day 3 they're cleaning the treads in the tyres...... |

Greg - sorry to hear your heated seat has packed up, just at the wrong time as well. I hope it's an easy fix.

I would have thought a day would be plenty. Demolishing returns after that. I have thought about getting a detailer in once a year. But haven’t done it yet. ______________________________

£400 is one thing - £800 I would rather spend putting it towards buying a new one - or something else 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

This is an interesting thread, I bought all the stuff years ago to do a detail myself - still haven't done it - so I am now thinking get it detailed so it should be like new and then keep it that way by regular washing. I realise I will have wasted the money on the DA polisher and all the polishes but at least it will look good and wasting money is something I am good at (not as good as SWMBO) Geoff |

Agree Vogue and with other comments about keeping it working well. As mentioned, have a lot of 'detailing gear' but little time. £400 I'm thinking maybe but the inside wouldn't need doing anyway. It's just the paint panels really. Even at £400, it's a couple of tyres or brake discs/ pads or 1/4 of an LR warranty. But, those professional retailers do make them look good |

Watched a couple of you tube vids and bought some 3000 grit sandpaper from an auto paint shop today... And set to work on a front wing of the car.. First time for everything |

We use a company in Port Glasgow called Pristine Machine on our cars. I'd definitely recommend it as the cars look fantastic when they come back.

Been quoted £300 for the above mentioned premium package but that doesn't include ceramic coating.
