The ceramic seems to be between £100-300 extra depending on whether 'bronze, silver or gold'

You probably can - I've only ever used wax, but I'd have thought it was the same principle - if your happy to do it, then why not. |

Looks like it's going to be the premium enhancement detail plus the bronze ceramic coating which the detailer is recommending as giving up to two year protection if the car is safely washed after the detail. He says that after correcting the paintwork, any future clear coat type swirls and scratches are not in the paintwork but in the ceramic coating.

Had mine done when I bought it and have a top up every 6 months and have found a local valet that uses no rinse to wash it every two weeks, needs doing as Santorini is a , though my retailer did warn me its one of the worst paints he’s come across to keep clean and to correct, but did say it is the best colour when clean!

Depending on where he’s based I’d be interested. What do I put here then? |

Knowing how fastidious you are about your FF being "just right", that's praise indeed. Having spent all day last Sunday rinsing/foaming/rinsing/washing/rinsing/drying mine, it looks pretty good again but it has a lot of swirls and a couple of scratches so I'm now seriously thinking about a professional detail to bring it back to its full glory. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography - 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster - Gone, but not forgotten |

Some pictures from the detailer. He’s good. Pictures don't do it justice the metallics flecks in the Santorini black come through incredibly clear.
