Ignition controlled fuse ??

Hi, I've fitted a nextbase dashcam in my 2012 l322, I originally had it plugged into the accessory socket which turns on & off with the ignition. I've now bought a kit with a piggy back fuse to wire it in more permanently. The problem I have is I still want it to turn off when I lock the car but so far I've had it connected to fuse 52 - front accessory socket, fuse 12 - reverse lamps plus one of the spares but even though the car has been locked for over 1/2 hour each time the camera remains on ? Can anyone tell me if any of the fuses in the glovebox are ignition controlled ?
TIA Phil

Hi, I have got a multimeter yes but as I understand it some circuits take a while to shut off after locking the car & ive already tried 3 circuits I would have though would be dead when the car is locked ? That & the fact that it's pretty difficult to connect a multimeter to a fuse, shut the door & then lock the car & then wait till it goes to sleep ?

On my 2012 Westie I have dashcam connected to F53 which is a spare with the right hand terminal live when ignition on. F54 is the same.

Rob99, thanks for your advice, fuse 53 & 54 both had 20amp fuses fitted on my 2012 Westminster although they are listed as spare in the owners manual ? Anyway I've used a piggyback fuse plugged into 53 & now have a dashcam that switches on & off with the ignition so happy days so thank you 😀

I guess yours must have some other option which needs the extra fuses.

Glad you've got it working though Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey
