Ignore that, just tried it & it works fine - it just enabled the halo / fairy lights on the front - which was exactly what I wanted. Thanks & sorry for the trouble!

My 2010 DRL option was activated by the dealer ... so I'm not sure why people think LR can't do it.

I asked my dealer to enable the DRL's on my 2012 FFRR last year when they serviced the car. And they told me they couldn't do it.

I'd really like them enabled on my car, as I want my lights to stay on 'automatic' instead of turning the DRL's on manually. '17 Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged AB (Sold)

Thanks for the replies guys.

Does a Land Rover dealer have this 'IID tool'?
Or where can I find someone who has one in Belgium or the Netherlands?

I'd really like this mod on my car. '17 Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged AB (Sold)

I’d say everyone needs an IID Tool.

duckworthparts (highly recommended) on this forum will get you one - at the best price I’ve found.

Well worth every penny / cent Very Happy What do I put here then?

I did this with an IIDTool, fairy/halo lights are on all the time (what I wanted) other light functions just work normally. They aren't as bright as "proper" DRLs but I only wanted the look, I know this will be controversial but IMHO DRLs are at best a waste of time and at worst annoying anyway but thats just me, I'm sure the EU in its infinite wisdom can't be wrong. Obviously not as annoying as fog lights, front or rear, when its not foggy, which the idiot driver has the option of turning on or OFF. Rolling with laughter Geoff

Regarding use of DRL's. I used to be one of those who thought it mildly amusing to 'flash' at Volvo's back when the Swedes made DRL's a legal requiremenmt and they came over here fitted with them. Since then I've learned a hell of a lot about visibility issues relating to mobile equipment and I can tell you, pretty much ANYTHING that gets you seen quicker is worth using. If someone else sees you 1/10 sec earlier, that could be a nasty collision avoided. It's relevant where the sun shines as well! Drives:

I had my drl's activated recently and didn't like the fact that the tail lights come on as well, so iv'e had them deactivated.
I have bought a pair of replacement front fog lights which have led outer rings like angel eyes which is the DRL and led fog lights which work separately, they look really good as if they are an original part of the car but they are expensive at £129.95 on ebay plus fitting but they do come with all the wiring and smart control boxes etc.
The make is Vinstar V-130017
