How cold?

Even with my aircon set to the coldest setting (16 degrees), the air is - at best - cool not cold.

Is this right?

The wife's Ewok pumps out lots of cold air at 16 degrees. What do I put here then?

It deteriorates over time - you can get it re-gassed

Or you may have a problem with it......

Thanks, @Alistair.

I should have said I've just had it regassed.

Main stealer reckons it's working properly.

I can't believe it doesn't blow out nice icey cold air.

Surely it should? What do I put here then?

Dodgy compressor - or leaking refrigerant are the 2 most likely culprits, but if the main dealer thinks it's fine & you don't then you'd need to take it somewhere else for them to test I guess

I have same problem and it looks like this is the culprit,

it is solenoid controlling swash plate in the compresor. it is held by cercle clip, but it is facing engine block, unfortunately, so it necessitates compressor removal. Big Cry .

Nino,

Thank you all for your comments.

In the stealers defence, they regassed and put some dye in to look for leaks.

I can't spot any leaks so it's more likely something else.

Will get back onto them now.

Oh and I don't have a snowflake button - unless I can't see for looking. What do I put here then?

On the 2011, its just the button marked A/C on the left hand side - the amber light should be lit - funnily enough I was thinking the same thing the other day - mine wasn't particularly cold, but then I did notice the A/C button was off. D'oh Current Fleet:-

You will need a “Black light” to see the leak detection fluid as it is Ultra Violet sensitive fluid. David

Take it to an air con specialist if you have no joy with the dealer....

If you have 4 zone air con it needs more refrigerant than one without, so make sure they have regassed it with enough gas if yours has separate rear A/C

I have that button, thanks Smile

And light is lit.

Makes very little difference though.

Calling stealer first thing Monday.

If there’s a leak it must be a big one ...

... or the problem is something else as kind folk have suggested. What do I put here then?
