HELP - PLEASE

Hi All,

Randomly my alarm went off today whilst outside the house??

I unlocked and locked the car and it went off again, then I noticed the suspension was lifting and lowering on it's own, inside the car all sorts of weird things are happening, gauges running up and down, engine and trans failsafes showing Hi/Lo light flashing, dis lights flashing, park brake/oil and ignition lights all randomly flashing, I disconneted the battery for a few minutes and its the same, all the random stuff stops when it starts up.

Any Ideas???

Its been perfect up to now, but had a screen fitted yesterday??

How long do I leave it disconnected to clear the ECU??

Thanks.

With the battery disconnected, Check it's voltage with a multimeter. Cheers, Greg

Do a hard battery reset, Disconnect the live & earth and touch them together...

you didnt mention the windscreen replacement in your original post..
theres an alarm sensor/light by the interior mirror and some other alarm stuff in that area so it sounds like they have possibly damaged something when they installed the screen.. ... - .- -.

If it's just had a windscreen fitted I'd be starting there.

I've seen it plenty of times where fitters cut through / shorted the wiring going to the rain sensor etc which will cause all sorts of issues.

It may even be leaking.

Hi Stan,

"Its been perfect up to now, but had a screen fitted yesterday??" was in the post.

They finished the screen at 1400 yesterday and things have been fine until this afternoon, drove and parked the car a few times last night ???

Do you know what items are up there???? I thought the alarm stuff was in the centre light console in the roof????

Thanks for any help ??

There's loads of wiring running up both a pillar trims and there's also quite a few running to the light / rain sensor at the top of the screen and also running to the rear view mirror

I think you have mis read my post Stan,"Last edited by colinwebster on 20th Jan 2018 2:50pm. Edited 1 time in total" your reply was after 1600 hours so unless I'm mistaken the reference to the windscreen was in the original post. I have been a moderator on many forums over the years so Ill put your mistake down to professional pressure Very Happy Very Happy
