if it helps you tracing the feed wires then on mine the halogen main only gets a 10 volt feed when the main is on..hope that makes sense.

I wouldn't rely on the the parts catalogue descriptions to confirm the technical spec of the lights.

Microcat actually lists Halogen, Xenon and "Adaptive Bi-Xenon", with supercession to common part numbers for all 06-09MY.

If you take on board and accept the rest of the technical information and do not solely work from Microcat as your reference, then the lamp listed as "Xenon" in Microcat should actually be listed as Bi-Xenon.

Obviously not being in possession or vicinity of the units or any photos of connections, pinouts etc then I'm working blind, I'm happy to be proved wrong but so far we only have your assumption from Microcat that the standard xenons are not bi-xenon. This goes against this post:

According to you Dan these type of headlights don't exist!

Non-NAS Non-adaptive Xenons should only have 9 pins, these functions:

Side
Side Earth
Dip
Dip Earth
Main
Main + Indicator Earth combined
Indicator
Xenon Shutter
Xenon Shutter Earth

Non-NAS Adaptives have 4 additional pins for the adaptive:

Ignition 12V+
LIN bus
Adaptive Motor Module Earth
Corner Lamp Earth

However I kind of get the feeling you don't want my input here, but I am only trying to help

its very easy to tell if it has the shutter, if there are pins in the 5 & 6 socket then you have the shutter.

Yup, done.

The lights I took off did not have pins 5 & 6, the part number did not make sense, started with numbers rather than XPC? or LRO. Anyway it didn't conform to a LR part number, all very odd. As far as I'm aware they don't do pattern parts for the lights? I did find one link to my part number, but that was a Japanese site...

Anyhoo, makes ALL the difference when driving at night, especially in the rain. All in all, I sold my old lights for £110 more than the ones I bought too.

For some reason my shutters have stopped working, so I only get the halogen on main beam and not the bi- xenon

They were working previously, however one night a couple of weeks ago the shutters stuck in the open position and would not turn off untill I turned the ignition off then back on again

Any ideas
