td6 non starting when hot ( new pump fitted )

yes ive searched but I couldn't find anything conclusive past the leccy fuel pump causing hot no starts , it had a new leccy pump 3 weeks ago , and that primes up when you go to start it but it just turns over rapidly , I was at a merc garage this morning when he failed to start so I fired some PTFE spray up the EGR pipe and away it went almost immediately , put fuel in on the way back and again had to use spray to get him going again , no dash warnings at all , it runs and goes as it should , starts cold without a problem though I will see wether that's the case after work later

Time to do a leak off test or plug in an IID tool I think.

Sounds like you've got an injector fault then as if 1 or more leak off too much then there's not enough pressure supplied to the others being common rail.

Injector harness could also be at fault.

Err, you do know that there are 3 fuel pumps on an L322.... there's one in the tank, one outside by the sill and then there is the high pressure pump that's driven off the front of the engine... any of those playing up and it'll be a pig.. I'm assuming that you've done the outside pump? Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Crikey, it must be well knackered if it's leaking with just the ignition on as you've only got low pressure at that point.

What's it like when it's running?

I'd do a resistance test on the loom next and if that's ok replace the injector.

I highly recommend that place I got my reconditioned injector from.

must be Paul but it runs sweet as a nut and always has since ive owned it , I use a place called CCS in a town not too far away , they will refurb it there and then so I can be mobile again within a couple of hours , looking at the other injectors , 3 have been marked up so its clearly had some work in this area before now , its just clicked over 132k
