So I am new to the Full Fat, and am loving my new acquisition up to now. Apart from one thing......

Mine seems more like a three-piece one. I had a play with it and it kinda folds up awkwardly and still obstructs half the load space.

I am sensing a bit of light-hearted joviality here against things RR Sport related. Like if its something the Sport has that the FF doesn't - well, then you simply don't need it. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

All of my Range Rovers going right back to classic had a hard rear parcel shelf, they have recesses built into them to carry odd little items.

With the RRC and the P38A, the folded cover could be stored upright behind the rear seat. There are grooves for it to slide into. Not so in the L322 unfortunately. Ron B. VK2OTC

I agree with this entirely. Having had a TD5 Discovery before the L322, the folding shelf is far more restrictive than the retractable cover. If you want to put something large in the L322 boot you have to take the shelf out completely. |

The traditional tartan blanket is what I have reverted to as the boot cover.

The plastic lugs on the folding parcel shelf are available separately - I purchased 2 for mine last year You simply pull the old ones out and push the new ones in. |

We have two in ours. I think it has the winter pack which has heated rear seats and a ski hatch, but there is a hard folding shelf and also a retractable unit that can also be fitted. We have a full dog cage so they are never used. |

In two minds on this - I hated the roller blind type in my old Audi allroad but equally I don’t like the solid one in my FFRR. I never put anything on it and as mentioned it is very restrictive when you want to put something of any size in the boot. I seem to be removing it quite frequently these days and wonder how long before I break one of the securing pins. Be nice if there was an after market choice. I rather agree with you Stuart-, whilst nicely made the design is a pain. You either have to remove it (it's quite heavy) or leave it alone. I'm surprised the L405 doesn't have something better. |

The retractable one is a dog guard/luggage retainer though - it’s a net full of holes and mounts vertically...... |
