Volume decreases in reverse.

Hi Guys,

Happy New Year!

Just got my FF back after having the transmission box flushed out and the software updated. Since it's return I've noticed that when I put the car in reverse the radio volume decreases, as soon as I put it in park or drive the volume returns to it's original level. Is this some sort of safety thing (if it is I hate it) or is it another problem?

Cheers

Ignore the reverse beeper, I do, but you will hear the crunch better when the car stops and you have backed into a wall Rolling with laughter Geoff

It seems that many drivers manually turn the volume down when reversing. Perhaps it's to reduce distraction when reversing.

LR maybe meeting that need. Ron B. VK2OTC

I’m sure the wife’s Ewok does this.

Always assumed it’s so the bleeping is easier to hear.

But I could be wrong. What do I put here then?

Now if only my wife's volume would decrease when I put my RR into reverse, life would be so much better...

Ok so decided it’s not for sensors as it's intermittent, as in the volume fluctuates as you reverse.

Looking forward to anyone who finds the volume button for women Wink

Look in your ICE settings. In our Subaru Forester, there is a setting to reduce the audio volume when reverse is selected. Maybe later LR do the same. Ron B. VK2OTC

... not only in reverse, also when front parking sensors are engaged, it should be because of making the beeps more audible so, if you manually decrease the volume, while beeping, to zero, then you only get the general audio decrease, ...more or less like with the navigation directions...

...but I may be wrong on any subject... 2016 RR ATB (Kaikoura Stone w/Brogue/Ivory-Brogue)
