Ignore the reverse beeper, I do, but you will hear the crunch better when the car stops and you have backed into a wall |

It seems that many drivers manually turn the volume down when reversing. Perhaps it's to reduce distraction when reversing.

Now if only my wife's volume would decrease when I put my RR into reverse, life would be so much better... |

Ok so decided it’s not for sensors as it's intermittent, as in the volume fluctuates as you reverse.

Look in your ICE settings. In our Subaru Forester, there is a setting to reduce the audio volume when reverse is selected. Maybe later LR do the same. Ron B. VK2OTC

They all do that now. Even the wife's VW does it 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

... not only in reverse, also when front parking sensors are engaged, it should be because of making the beeps more audible so, if you manually decrease the volume, while beeping, to zero, then you only get the general audio decrease, ...more or less like with the navigation directions...
