Door Squeak

Started to get a squeak when I open the driver door, as it was dark, I just gave it a quick spray with white grease. On closer inspection as it carried on, it is rubbing on what looks and feels like a chunk of sponge coming from under the front wing at the top. Is this noise reduction insulation, or is it something that shouldn’t be there, and someone has done a quick fix to hide something?

Check all the nuts are tight on the door swivel mechanism. My first FFRR had a squeak and tightening the nuts and bolts cured it.

Thanks for that guys, will do a full check this weekend. Not a major issue, just one of those things you don't think about until the next time you have to get in or out.
