Trick of light mate. As soon as I looked at the pics before I viewed I mentioned straight away and dealer told me it was the camera. Definatley no Mark on the car now. Dealer is a very high end dealer, sells ferraris, bentleys etc so I have no reason to assume there lying to me. All the little things (stone chips etc) that I pointed out about the car were sorted prior to me picking up. As for the mpg I actually get 11.6!! Get about 200 ish on a full tank. According to dash comp. It's only ever used for small trips. The wife's work is 10 mins drive away so the car really never gets going. I have my work van so don't really use it much. Wife keeps telling me to get it lpg'd but with so many different people giving me different info and all the horror stories on the net ive kind of put it on the back burner for now. J E want about 6k, two local installers want 3k and 2k. All say 4.2 supercharged can be done but J E say still may have problems. The 2 local say they've done loads to these engines with no problems but can't give me details of the customers to prove it. Last 2 mention fitting a flashcube will fix most problems even tho the info on the net so otherwise. Don't wanna take the risk and ruin a perfect car. Cheers |

phew, that's good news ref the "scratch". car looks fab. I think those are the best wheels of all. ref your MPG, there's no way you will get anything like normal on such a short run. My TD6 only gets 17 MPG when I go 2 miles up the road.

Based on your local mileage surely best to keep the car original and used the "saved" £6k to fuel the car for the next few millennia

Wife's work is about 5 miles round trip. We only take small trips in the car. Think the furthest we travelled is to ikea in Nottingham. So never really gave it a good run. Going manchester end of next week so will see what I get. As for getting my money back from LPG conversion, I'm planning on keeping this car for a very very long time. To me this is my dream car. I wouldn't swap it for anything else (well maybe a newer reg) but you get what I'm saying.

More than I can remember. A good set up was almost impossible to achieve due to the sensitivity/complexity of the FFRR SC engine. Then the valves melted. Then it never ran properly again during my ownership. Nightmare. Luckily I work within walking distance of JE and they were great throughout but the problems were just impossible to resolve with my vehicle. Apparently there are many successful Sport SC LPG conversions, it's just the FFRR where there are potential issues. Plus the reality of LPG is not much fun if you are doing big miles as I was and as you need to in order to recover a £5k-£6k investment. Fill up every 200 miles (3 times a day sometimes to end with a full tank). Prices currently 70ppl+. Always on the lookout for a LPG garage (Sat Nav LPG info is always out of date - so many times I have turned off the main route to get LPG only to find it to be disappointed), and many garages I used in the past across the country have removed LPG from their offering in the last 12 months due to lack of business. It's just not worth the hassle. If you want to do big miles with a SC and not get 18mpg then buy something else. If you're not doing big miles then financially it's not worth converting anyway, just enjoy it unmolested! There are some 4.4 LPG FFRR conversions out there that work well so another option is to buy one of those already converted. |

You can get the same Overfinch rims in a 20". I had these on my last FF as I was also concerned about the ride with 22's. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE *Gone* Discovery3 HSE *Gone* MY10 RangeRover TDV8 Freelander for OH MY11 Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Black |

To be honest I don't think it rides very well on the 22's. Normal town driving is fine but on motorway it's a tad different. Maybe I was expecting to much as never had an rr before let alone anything with bigger wheels than 17's. Had it all checked when purchased and tracking etc is fine. I think it's down to the large wheels and low profile tires you can feel the difference in road surfaces. Maybe I'm making it sound worse than it is. Nobody else notices it only me. To picky maybe?
