No, absolutely not. This site has its own Gallery and image storage facility. I have recovered as many images from Photobucket as possible in my own time, and re-hosted them at my own cost. I was not obliged to do this, the forum has an image system but people chose Photobucket instead for whatever reason. In this particular case, Hayland's first post is odd as his images have been replaced by small squares, even in the original post text/code ![]() |

I see the single din units have a separate system check unit to reset clock, consumption etc... When changing out the stock double din non touch screen units with another double din upgrade is there a lead left over to connect to one of these separate system check units? |

Thanks. Yeah I have half a B54 working and a sat nav that doesn't shut down. Just as well be happy gutting the system out of the boot for more storage. My screen is starting to go too so don't really want to take up glove box space for that. If there are compatible plugs I may try the wife's e36 unit before investing in anything. I would have thought the range rover specific unit would be easy to find but that is not the case. |

The Range Rover unit was fitted to the European HSE, there are loads available over here, you might have to hit fleabay!

Haha no just borrow to see if it would work. My goal for her car is full restoration minus the sound system. Just did new convertible top and lots of mechanical with more due in spring. She wants it reliable. I said not completely possible. Its a car.

I know this is going back a bit now so you are unlikely to be still lurking, but have you any photos of it in the dash? I really like the look of this Eonon unit as it seems a little less curved than a lot of the others. Maybe that's just an illusion. I note now on the Eonon site that the most recent version is probably GA8201 for BMW E39 1995-2002 |

I'm curious too, as mentioned, the new version is EONON GA8201A - If it's pretty much plug and play allowing the amp to work, that would be a great solution. |

^ on that model you need to buy the 5M extension lead, as it has the bypass connectors for the radio head (BM54) Otherwise it will not work with dsp type setups. Also it will not fix a broken system... the radio and dsp needs to be working, but the nav system can be knackered |

Thank you! I have the Harmon Kardon system. Does the origin head unit have to stay plugged in and put into the glove box? |
