2011 headlight swap

Has anyone replaced an adaptive headlight with a non adaptive one on a 2011 car?
I’ve smashed the lens on one of mine and have found a new none adaptive lamp costs a good bit less than the adaptive one but I’m not sure that it would work OK

Any ideas?

Thanks

Can the lens not be swapped over. I'm assuming the lens is the same. Some folks split them open to fit halo DRL's inside so they do come apart.

See if you can get the broken lens off first and if it's a no go you've lost nothing 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

You cannot swap the lenses as they are glue’d with an unusual type of glue that does not allow the “usual” heat & removal...

You can use the “non” AFS lamp and simply have the “AFS” facility switched off in the cars CCF file. You need an appropriate diagnostic tool for this (the IID tool) for example... Thumbs Up Otherwise you will have a yellow headlamp fault light displayed on the dash... Thumbs Up

Mate, for the money I'd save I'd be getting the air driven disc cutter out with a 1mm disc.
A bit of patience and clear epoxy and it would be done. To bin a hugely expensive headlight for broken lens is just wrong.

Thanks Gents
Craig - that’s the exact info I needed, much appreciated. I just have to decide if AFS is worth £250 on top of the £800 for a new light!!
Grofus - Unfortunately the lens isn’t available separately so fixing it isn’t an option
Cheers

Have you tried looking for a used one. Problem with a new light on one side is it will be very noticeable. Something that would irritate me.
Hope get it sorted. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal
