OK, so AJAC8 says it's wasting my money at this mileage. But Mikey disagrees and says I should have already done it at 50k, and Very Disco agrees with him, pretty much. Cam Tech Craig says to service the gearbox every 30k but isn't clear whether that means dropping the sump, or flushing, or both. Meanwhile JLR say not to bother until 144k!! I'm interested in all the replies, genuinely. But can you see how I'm confused? |

Craig, are you able to calculate what % of fluid you change by just dropping the pan from the amount of new fluid you use to fill it up? 50%+?.

Mike, you're right the OE fluid, sump etc will be about £240

When I had my trany service, after the flush, ZF technician took car for a drive, I went with him, and drove car for 15~20 min. with laptop in his lap. he said after the flush treni needed software flush to. I did not have any problems with trani before nor after and in all honesty could not tell any difference after fluid change.
