To say this new shape is about 5 years old now, I think used dealer prices have held pretty strong. The first vogue models rolling off the production line will have retailed starting around the £75k mark, give or take a few grand and options etc. There hasn't been many at all for sale by Land Rover for under £40k yet, So they are now 5 years old and still retailing for over 50% of the new price. |

Doesn't depreciation work on percentage terms ie, the more you have in a car the more you have to loose?

About time.... they need to protect their own business and investment and that of their customers..... I have badgered them for years, I don’t understand why has it taken so long to wake up? Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc He who dies with the most toys wins... |

I'm glad you said that, as it leads me on to another question which I'd like opinions on..... I have on order a 2018MY FFRR 5.0 SC Autobiography, Black with Ivory Leather. This is due for delivery in March 2018. I'm not entirely sure yet whether to keep it, or buy something else - If I have it transported from the main dealers showroom to my home, taking into account the 6 month waiting list, do you think I would get the full retail price back for it? |

I think it would depend on the demand for the car and the price you have paid for it.

Expect a big loss if that was to happen. The 2018 car is a face-lift it's not a new car so even if there is a waiting list who would buy it for the same price on a private sale basis when Land Rover CR treat you very differently depending if you buy from the manufacturer or even used from a dealer. 2016 SDV8 Autobiography
