Why would you flush at 54k? Waste of money IMHO.

Well, the first three replies above sort of prove my point - confusion reigns! Perhaps I should contact ZF directly.... |

The LR Inspection 2 sheet states 9 years or 144k miles for oil and filter change for a 4.4 8speed box.

Confusion borne from info from the manufacture of the box and the manufacturer of the vehicle. It always struck me a strange that sealed for life meant until 9 yrs.

I had my 2012 TDV8 mega flushed at 60 K miles soon after buying it in 2015, still under warranty back then, and the oil was dirty. they replace the sump pan and filter, which you should always anyway.

With 115K km on my I did contact ZF in Friedrichshafen and They recommend fluid replacement at 120K km for the 8 speed gearboxes. so I went to Vienna -nearest ZF to me- and did the flush wich included pan and filter replacement. price was 615 Euros. |
