The glow plug issue won't apply as it is petrol and the heater runs off the main tank I ended up having mine replaced under warranty so can't help much afraid but it sounds like a fuelling issue |

Of course no glow plug! But maybe the controller is checking something with the spark plug at the same point in the sequence? 2006 Supercharged |

No, the engine was not running. I do not think the FBH even tries to start when the engine runs, I am not sure if this is correct or not. I am pretty sure my battery is ok, but I will try to put a trickle charger on it. Really interested in the error code I am getting! 2006 Supercharged |

Ian928, on mine it runs with the engine running. it helps engine to get to working temp. and the bonus is faster heat in the cabin. start the engine and listen for the pump clicks and the humming from the heater. |

The petrol ones only cut in with the engine running if the temp is below 1degree c on the oil burners I think it is 14 or 16 degrees c so quite different |

My 2004 TD6 is the same. On cold mornings the FBH will fire up with the engine running to aid rapid warm up of the engine & cabin. Late 2004 FFRR Vogue 3.0 TD6 Tonga Green Previous cars Series 3 V8 conversion 1989 V8 classic Vogue 1992 V8 Classic Vogue 1998 P38 DSE |
